After-School Activities is an extension of the evidence-based Too Good prevention education programs for the out of school setting. Eight interwoven components include: Goal Setting, Decision Making, Managing Emotions, Bonding and Relationships, Effective Communication, Conflict Resolution, Substance Use Awareness, and Community Involvement.
The activity set reinforces basic prevention concepts through a variety of positive, age-appropriate activities including games, stories, and songs. Cooperative learning and other experiential learning strategies bring the learning concepts to life and make it easier for the students to adopt and apply them in their daily lives.
Activities are grouped by age to sustain student interest and correspond to the child s development level.
